Municipal Aggregation is an alternative way for communities to go out and negotiate the purchase of the combined electric supply of the residential and small businesses in their community. This is done by working with a firm to go out to bid for the municipality and get rates for the combined load of the residential and small businesses. One this has been done the information is supplied to back to the municipality to vote to approve or not approve the rate and term. When the vote is accepted, then information is sent out to all that would be available for this and then you can either accept the price and term or opt-out. This only applies to residential customers or small businesses that are not already with an alternative supplier or community solar program. To learn more how your municipality can look into this please contact us so we can schedule a meeting to discuss all your options.
